The inputs start the same as for a net float:
Do a double jump and right after pull your slingshot back and go to the gadget menu
in the gadget menu hold L3, Close the menu and quickly open it again then put your net over the slingshot
close the menu and hit L3 to ground pound and start holding a direction on the right stick and mash R1/R2 to jump.
The float will end once you switch the gadget, stop swinging the net or turn around too fast.
You can also do it unbuffered and out of water which is easier.
